Easily the most widely seen project, Flaming Cactus had a simple message: "It doesn't take a lot of money, resources or education to make art and make your community a brighter, more beautiful place to live."
Flaming Cactus wrapped NYC lampposts with fluorescent zipties. The project debuted at the Figment Arts Festival on Governors Island before being picked up by NYC's Department of Transportation and placed in the heart of Astor Place. After that the project doubled in size when it was expanded through the Hudson Square BID.
Representing the piece, I was interviewed on national news, a segment seen by 300K+ people in over 20 different states reaching from New York to as far as Hawaii.
